Are you looking for a fun and safe way to celebrate Halloween with your kids and neighbourhood? Then give ‘Trunk or Treating’ a go!
Trunk or Treat is a safer alternative to the traditional Trick or Treat door-to-door exercise which has recently grown in popularity across Australia.
Trunk or Treating is generally an organised neighbourhood event where families park their cars in a designated communal area (car parks, churches, schools) and open their trunks to display their Halloween themed decorations. Kids can walk from trunk to trunk to collect treats and get into the spirit of the spooky season.
One of the best things about Trunk or Treat aside from the neighbourhood safety benefits is that you can decorate your trunk however you want! Many car owners also go the extra mile and dress in a costume that matches the theme of their car.
We’ve put together a list of 10 Trunk or Treat ideas to get you inspired for Halloween. Have fun and perhaps start a new tradition in your community!
